How to use this site
A quick guide to getting answers fast.
Ask the AI in plain English
On the home page, type a natural question like “Can I keep chickens?” or “How tall can a backyard fence be?” The AI retrieves the most relevant ordinance sections — city, county, and state — and produces a short answer with numbered citations. Click any citation card to jump to the full section.
Browse ordinances by jurisdiction
Use the Ordinances page to browse city ordinances (organized by chapter), Collin County regulations, and Texas state laws. Each document lists its source URL and effective date.
Participate in the forum
The community forum is public and does not require an account. Post by name or anonymously. Moderators may reply with an “Official Response” to clarify city policy.
Track meetings and events
The calendar shows upcoming city council meetings, public hearings, and community events. Meeting agendas are posted by the city at least 72 hours in advance.
Verify with official sources
This site is an informational aid. Before taking action on a permit, tax, or legal matter, confirm details with the appropriate city, county, or state office.
Important: AI results are best understood as a starting point. If a question has legal or financial consequences, consult a licensed professional and confirm with official sources.
