Your information is safe here.
We built the Lowry Crossing Civic Hub to help neighbors โ not to profit from their data. This page explains, in plain English, exactly how we protect your privacy and keep the site secure, so you can use it with confidence.
Encrypted connection (HTTPS everywhere)
Every page and every form on this site loads over a secure, encrypted HTTPS connection. That means the information travelling between your device and our servers โ what you type, what you upload, what you read โ is scrambled so no one in between can read it. Your browser confirms this with the padlock icon in the address bar.
Modern security headers
The site sends a set of browser security instructions on every response โ including HSTS (which forces secure connections), content-type protection (which blocks a common class of attacks), and a strict framing policy. These are the same protections used by banks and major websites, working quietly in the background.
Your password is never stored in plain text
When you create a resident account, we never keep your actual password. It is run through a one-way encryption process (called hashing) before it is saved, so even we cannot see it. If someone ever got a copy of our records, your password would still be unreadable.
Your uploaded documents are private
Documents, images, and scans you upload to the Document Assistant are stored privately. They are not listed publicly, not searchable by others, and not shared. Only you (when signed in) and the AI that analyzes your document can access them, and you can delete them at any time.
Resident-only features are verified
The Document Assistant is available only to verified Lowry Crossing residents. This keeps sensitive, personal document analysis limited to the neighbors it is meant for, and adds a layer of accountability to the most private part of the site.
We never sell your data
This is an independent, community-built resource โ not a business built on your data. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, your questions, or your documents to anyone. Ever.
What we collect โ and why
- Account details (name, email, and address for residents) โ used only to verify you live in Lowry Crossing and to sign you in. Your address is used for verification and is never shown publicly.
- Documents you upload โ stored privately so the assistant can read them and so you can return to your saved analysis later. You can delete them whenever you like.
- Questions you ask โ kept to improve answers and coverage. Public assistant questions may be logged without tying them to your identity.
- Nothing more than needed. We do not track you across other websites and we do not run advertising trackers.
You are in control
- โข Delete any document you upload, at any time, from your Document Assistant history.
- โข Ask us to remove your account and associated data.
- โข Use most of the site โ news, ordinances, the civic assistant โ without an account at all.
An independent resource. The Lowry Crossing Civic Hub is community-built and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the City of Lowry Crossing or any government entity. Information here is for general reference and is not legal advice.
