Lowry Crossing Proposition A — Tax Rate Reduction
This is a yes/no proposition to reduce the city's adopted property-tax rate. If a majority votes 'For,' the rate drops from $0.20 per $100 of valuation to $0.149683 per $100 — a reduction of about 25.2%. If 'Against' wins, the rate stays at $0.20.

What it means in practice
On a home appraised at $400,000 (no homestead-exemption changes considered), the city portion of the tax bill would drop from about $800/yr to about $599/yr if Prop A passes — a savings of roughly $201/yr. The city is one of multiple taxing jurisdictions on your bill (Collin County, Princeton ISD or McKinney ISD, Collin College, etc., are separate).
