What is the Planning & Zoning?
The P&Z Commission reviews plat applications, zoning change requests, and development proposals. Their recommendations go to the City Council for final approval.
Why This Matters
If you see a "Public Hearing" on the P&Z agenda, it means the commission is required by law to hear from residents before making a recommendation. If a zoning change is proposed near your property, you have the right to be notified and speak.
Your Right to Participate
Residents within 200 feet of a proposed zoning change receive written notice. Anyone may attend and speak during public hearings.
